Lonnie Poole Golf Course Announces Major Enhancements to Practice Facilities
Raleigh, NC – Lonnie Poole Golf Course (LPGC), renowned for its commitment to providing an exceptional golf experience, is excited to announce a major renovation project to enhance its short-game practice facilities. This significant upgrade will focus on expanding and improving the practice putting green adjacent to the Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse.
Key Features of the Renovation:
- A Larger, 15,000 Square Foot Practice Putting Green
- A New Practice Chipping Area
- A 500 Square Foot Practice Bunker
The project is scheduled to commence on Monday, June 24, with the practice green closing to facilitate the renovations. The new putting green is expected to be seeded in mid to late August, followed by a 3 to 4 months growth period. We anticipate limited putting practice and the new green will be available around Thanksgiving.
“We realize that there will be some time without a practice putting area available at Lonnie Poole Golf Course, and we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause,” said Chip Watson, General Manager of Lonnie Poole Golf Course. “However, we are confident that the improvements will be worth the wait and significantly enhance the practice experience for all our guests.”
