PGA Jr. League at Lonnie Poole

PGA Jr. League at Lonnie Poole Golf Course is for players between the ages of 8 and 17, and runs from February – October. It focuses on team play and friendly competition through optional practices and 9-hole head-to-head matches. 

On Match Days, players will team up and tee off from age and skill appropriate tees, making the matches a fun and fair challenge for players of all experience levels!

Play with a partner! Participating players will be split into overall teams, and then partner up to make a two-person scramble (captain’s choice) team. That means both players hit a shot, and choose the better ball, then both hit shots from that spot. They continue until the ball is holed. How to sign up:

Step 1: Register on PGA Jr. League’s website for the 2025 Season. A fee of $160 covers the PGA’s fee, your team kit, as well as the signup fee for your first practice or match. Additional practices and matches are pay-per-signup.

Each player who joins a PGA Jr. League team pays an annual #GameChanger fee of $110, which includes access to their local league, their custom uniforms and cool team kit gear, as well as participation in as many seasons as desired throughout the calendar year (meaning you can participate in multiple facilities’ programs).

Step 2: Look to our calendar of events to sign up for practices, 9-hole matches, and major tournaments throughout the year. Players will pay per practice or match they play in, so you can pick and choose what works for you!

1-Hour Practice – $30 per player
6-Hole Match – $35 per player
9-Hole Match – $45 per player
9-Hole Majors – $50 per player

Cart Fee (optional) – $15 per match

PGA Jr. League All-Star Season

Qualifying players will be selected to represent Lonnie Poole Golf Course in the PGA Jr. League Championship season. All-star teams from each age group can compete in sectional competitions against other courses in hopes of reaching the regionals and beyond. Only 12 regional champions from around the US will compete at the National Championship at PGA HQ in Frisco, Texas. Congratulations to our 2024 13u All-Star Team, who played outstandingly well to go as far as the semi-final match in last year’s Regional Championship at Callaway Gardens, GA. We plan to go all the way in 2025!!!
